We’re getting married!

There’s no better way to start our journal than by sharing the exciting news with you all that we will be getting married this spring! We realize that some of you know much more about Rebekah than Yarden and vice versa, so we’ll be sharing our individual testimonials in upcoming journal entries. But for now, we want to share the story of how God brought us together.

We arrived in new york in august, 2024, rebekah from the midwest and yarden from the northeast

in the fall, we began collaborating on outreach dinners for the jewish community

we spent a lot of our time together in community, surrounded by close friends who are also missionaries to the jewish community

we were soon asked to work together on sensitive discipleship work in brooklyn. we got to know each other on the long train commutes

when the weather was bad, we would drive to our discipleship meetings instead of taking the train. we got to know each other more while searching for parking spots

meanwhile, sometimes we would study for our seminary assignments together over tea at brooklyn coffee shops

we worked together to organize outreach events, like a hanukkah party for local jewish contacts

before leaving to visit family for the holidays, we walked through nyc, through the lights and wreaths of the christmas season

In the new year, rebekah (finally) agreed to go on a date with yarden, and began teaching him how to play backgammon

yarden took rebekah to some of his favorite places, like brooklyn bridge.

We went on missions trips abroad with our missions team

and after returning to nyc, yarden continued his part-time job of helping rebekah find parking spots

we studied the scriptures on picnics

and shared the gospel together in nyc coffee shops and restaurants

and worshipped the lord together

one evening in october 2025, while strolling in central park, yarden surprised rebekah by proposing

and rebekah surprised yarden by saying yes

we are excited for the journey ahead, and grateful for your support and intercession for us and our ministry
